Short Summary
His name is staticked out.
Hiccup has arrived in the cove, carrying a basket and calling out how they're leaving. Going on a vacation. Forever. And while preparing, he suddenly sees he's been followed by a very hostile Astrid. Who wants to know how he got so good because it's especially weird he got so good. She starts manhandling him and when a noise gets her attention, Hiccup tries to deflect, says he's been making outfits and should be brought back with that. Astrid is having none of it and forces him to the ground and hits him with the butt of her axe.
It's then Hiccup hears Toothless and he struggles to his feet only to get tackled down by Astrid. Should be noted despite the fact she had been very much ready to kick his ass a few moments ago, she is also ready to fight to protect him from the dragon she's now noticed. Toothless also ready to fight to protect Hiccup.
Hiccup manages to tackle Astrid down and force the axe out of her hand, and get between her and Toothless, managing to calm the dragon and girl down somewhat. Both dragon and girl are scared of each other, but also ready to throw down. Astrid is Very Confused by Hiccup's friendliness with the dragon. Hiccup introduces them to each other because what is he to do now???? Toothless snarls which doesn't help his ability to talk about this.
Astrid bolts and Hiccup bemoans how they're dead, only to have Toothless shrug it off and walk away. Hiccup goes after him and insists they need to go after Astrid. Toothless is not pleased, but goes along.
Then they grab Astrid and hang her from a tall tree so Hiccup can beg her to let him explain. Astrid is having NONE OF IT, but she's also stuck in a tree, so when Hiccup says he'll show, she relents enough to get on the dragon.
Said dragon is still pissed at her though so instead of a nice flight, he rockets off into the sky. Hiccup tries to insist he's not usually like this and Toothless keeps throwing his weight into more rough flying even as Hiccup stubbornly keeps his foot in one position. Unfortunately, short of destabilizing their ability to fly entirely, he can't really stop Toothless, so he tries to talk him down while Astrid is screaming.
It continues until Astrid apologizes, and Toothless stops immediately. And then takes them on the ride Hiccup had intended. From there, they fly for a while, taking a scenic look at the island and everything and Astrid gets more relaxed and enjoys the flight and gets close to Hiccup.
Until finally she admits that Toothless is amazing.
