Neutral Negative: Hearing about Drago

This video plus a little more because RTTE was made after the movie, so Things.

Summary
Hiccup's name is still staticked out.

Hiccup and Astrid fly upon an outpost utterly destroyed by climbing ice shards. It's quite the sight and they're wondering what happened. However, before long, Stormfly gets shot down and Toothless catches Astrid out of the air.

They land and Hiccup pulls a firesword to keep back the crowd and demanding back Stormfly. There is awe as people notice Toothless. Apparently people think Night Furies are gone for good. There's talk about getting Toothless in a dragon army for Drago. Hiccup tries to defuse the situation, saying they don't want any trouble, and very confused at being accused of wrecking the fort. He keeps being incredulous to defuse the situation, but Eret brings up do gooder dragon riders.

Which is a surprise there are OTHER dragon riders. Also Hiccup has never heard of Drago before and the Dragon Trappers talk about him like a fearful being. He branded Eret for his last late shipment. Hiccup says they'll just leave once they have Stormfly and emphasize they haven't met before. Eret finally introduces himself as the greatest dragon trapper, Toothless has had enough, and Hiccup has had enough and Trappers attack with them countering. Hiccup cuts Stormfly free and they bolt with the chaos of collapsed ice with Eret yelling that Drago is coming after them.

They're flying away fast when Astrid asks what he makes of it. Hiccup recognizes the brand. He almost got it once, the time Dagur saved his life. It might be this guy is the Northern Buyer they thought they had driven off before. They hadn't seen any Dragon Hunters or Trappers in over a year, but then again, Hiccup hadn't been this far out before. It might be they had known to steer clear of them now.

They'll need to do something about this. For now, they need to head home and regroup.

Significant Positive: Test Flight

This video save the very end scene change.

Summary
Hiccup is fifteen, very small, and on the back of Toothless. It becomes very apparent this is a test flight of his tailfin. Hiccup is tugging on safety lines and messing with the pedal and keeps referring to a cheat sheet with the positions of the tail.

But they're taking a nice, easy flight, nothing too dramatic, which is good because Hiccup kind of steers Toothless into some sea stacks and Toothless is willing to sass him for it. Still, things are going well! They get some air, its very amazing and wonderful-

Until air takes away the cheat sheet, Hiccup yells stop to try and catch it and Toothless listens....momentum does not, pulling Hiccup right out of the saddle.

They both fall, Toothless losing all stabilization and Hiccup just being a human. They fall a while before Hiccup manages to get on the saddle, but by then, they're going too fast to pull out of their dive and headed right for a bunch of sea stacks.

Hiccup is panicking, looking between the sheet and the rocks and knows he can't use it if they want to survive. He lets it go and has to trust his instincts and ability to follow Toothless' movement.

They don't hit a single rock, coming out the other side in one piece and both pumped and excited with a successful test flight. Toothless even fires off a fire blast in celebration. Which....singes Hiccup a bit.

But it's fine.

Significant Negative: The Deal.

15:11 to 16:52

Summary
Hiccup's name is staticked out.

Hiccup wakes up in the woods with a start, sitting up quickly and looking around in fear. Then looking over himself. He's fifteen and tiny, but he seems relieved when he finds no injuries. He looks around, picking up a knife, but there doesn't seem to be any danger nearby.

There is a huge trench left along the ground and a busted up tree, and some cut ropes attached to a bola. He stares at the rope for several moments before looking at the knife.

And sighing, shaking his head and heads home.

Notably, he walks into the hut that's highest in the village. Very notably a place of prestige.

Hiccup goes inside and there is Stoick who is just. A mountain of a man. Hiccup tries to sneak on past, but Stoick stops him. Stoick is very definitely his dad. Stoick wants to talk and Hiccup knows they should talk.

They end up talking over each other and try to let the other go first and its clear they are. Very awkward with each other. So awkward.

Stoick finally gets to say Hiccup gets his wish, he'll start dragon training in the morning. Hiccup freaks out and tries to say they have a surplus of dragon fighting vikings and he should be a bread making fighting, or small home repair. Stoick gives him an axe, saying he'll need it, and Hiccup says he doesn't want to kill dragons.

Stoick laughs him off, saying of course he does. Hiccup rephrases and says he CAN'T kill dragons. Stoick doubles down, says he will, and Hiccup insists he's sure he won't. Stoick keeps going and Hiccup feels like Stoick can't hear him.

Stoick talks about how this is serious, and how when he carries the axe, he carries them all with him. And that means Hiccup walks like them, talks like them, thinks like them, and he needs to stop all of 'this' while gesturing to all of Hiccup.

Hiccup tries one last time to get Stoick to listen, but Stoick doesn't. Just asks him if they have a deal. One where Hiccup tries to be like everybody else.

And Hiccup relents to the deal.

Stoick asks him to train hard and says he'll be back. Probably.

And Hiccup says he'll be here. Maybe.

Watching his father go.
