RTTE: Triple Stryke. Full episode where Hiccup is present.
Summary
Hiccup's name can be heard in this memory.
Hiccup is flying with Snotlout. There is a Dragon Hunter base ahead of them. Hiccup wants caution. Snotlout wants to go in dragon's blazing. Hiccup is Very Put Upon, but goes along with Snotlout. When they arrive, there's no hunters, but there is sudden, bloodcurdling dragon screams. Snotlout is suddenly Less Sure on his plan even though going for the base had been his idea.
They do find a bunch of very worked up dragons in cages. Snotlout concerned for their safety and Hiccup just focuses on opening the cages. They can just wait out in a safe spot until the dragons book it.
Snotlout finds a lever. Unfortunately it just releases a bigger cage door, and when he tries to open it, it releases smoke. Obviously a trapping mechanism for the dragons. Hiccup, Toothless, and Snotlout try to get the bars to raise or break through to no avail. To Snotlout's credit, he doesn't leave until Hiccup tells him to go get help.
Next thing Hiccup knows, he's waking up somewhere else, calling for Toothless. Toothless is there, but they're both shackled and caged. They can see a dragon gladiatorial type fight outside. Dragon fights are a thing and Hiccup very much does not want them there.
There are Hunters in charge and its clear the dragons are abused. Hiccup has a reputation as a friend to dragons and the hunter thinks he may be useful for a 'special event' he has planned for Toothless.
There's some jumps in the memory, mostly Hiccup taking stock of the situation and what he has to work with. There are other dragons with them and Toothless is on high alert to protect Hiccup and himself and Hiccup has to keep him calm because, well, the dragons are starving, injured, and scared. They have to be the calm ones.
Hiccup is working on trying to connect with the dragons, feeding the Gronckle rocks he manages to chip off with his leg, and trust is slooowly forming.
The Hunters come in, taking the Razorwhip and Toothless. Hiccup tries to get between them and Toothless, but the Hunters are stronger than him, knocking him away and herding Toothless in a cage. The lead one taunts Hiccup, how he likes how he makes Toothless 'feisty.' Hiccup is really not having a good time.
Toothless and the Razorwhip fight and the Razorwhip isn't holding back. Toothless almost gets lost in the fight until Hiccup shouts at him, getting him to focus on not killing the other dragon. Toothless then manages to lure the Razorwhip under one of the cages and blasting it down to trap the dragon. The crowd is chanting and excited, so at least that ends the fight for now.
There's another skip, Toothless back in the cage and Hiccup is finishing wrapping up his hurt leg, comforting and assuring him that he did good in the ring. Toothless isn't happy to be hurt, but he's also not mad either. There is an Understanding there that the situation sucks and they're doing their best.
The lead Hunter arrives with food for the winner and more taunts. Hiccup tries bargaining, saying Toothless already made him a fortune, so the Hunters can let them go now. The Hunter laughs in his face, saying a Night Fury will make him a lot more money as everyone wants to see him fight.
They get to see the next opponent, a scorpion light dragon.
Another jump to the next day. Hiccup is making friends again, using some of the food Toothless got to butter up the Monstrous Nightmare. Who spits out the food until Hiccup recognizes the behavior and manages to get in close enough to pull out a hook from the dragon's teeth. Next is the Deadly Nadder, using a blind spot to get close and then give it scritches of all things. Slowly but surely, getting the dragons to trust him.
They finally get the razorwhip cowed enough to get back into the cage. Razorwhips also have tails that can cut through anything if not manacled right.
Toothless is dragged out again to fight the Triple Stryke. Its clear this dragon is a lot fiercer and a lot more determined than the Razorwhip. Toothless is having a lot more difficulty this time. Hiccup has convinced the other dragons to blast the Razorwhip's manacle even as he frets about the fight as it becomes obvious that if the fight continues, only one is walking away.
Then Astrid and some other girl, Heather, with another Razorwhip show up. Hiccup is very relieved. Toothless is getting more aggressive. Hiccup rushes to the gate, Heather getting ready to burst through the door to stop the fight, when Toothless relents on his own. Much to Hiccup's relief. He sends Astrid back to the others, and quickly works with Heather to release the other dragons, wanting the numbers as quick as possible.
When the Hunters come in to either provoke or take down Toothless and the Triple Stryke, Hiccup and the others finally burst down the door and the dragons attack and chase off the Hunters. Hiccup gives them the chance to run, even a new guy who just showed up.
Then the rest of Hiccup's riders show up and begin attacking the crowd. They are all Very Pissed about this situation.
They rip off the top of the cage. They delay a bit, to help the Triple Stryke realize he can leave now, and once he flies, they all make their way off the island too. (The other kids have already taken care of other dragons along the way.)
There is a lot of relief that Hiccup was found in one piece and there is banter and giving Snotlout shit. Triple Stryke hangs with them, seeming to enjoy his new freedom. He's now named Sleuther. Their home is called The Edge.

Except then Toothless suddenly gets pulled in by Something as a strange noise fills the air. Hiccup doesn't know what to make of this behavior, but they're suddenly in a fog and surrounded by A Lot Of Dragons with their various kills. Hiccup tries to get Toothless to get them out of there, but he brushes Hiccup off quite abruptly.
The dragons are starting to notice them, but then they pick up speed, flying in formation. It's. Odd.
They approach and fly into a volcano. Both Astrid and Hiccup are freaked, Astrid moreso. Toothless quickly lands and hides out of the way. They watch as they dump all their food now a hole?
Until a Gronckle flies in at the end and dumps a single fish, which offends the hole. A dragon half the size of a mountain suddenly surges up, eating the Gronckle. And lingers, sniffing the air and Hiccup realizes their scents have been noticed. This time, he gets Toothless to Go.
All the dragons swarm to get away from the giant one and they manage to escape out the top.
They quickly fly away, Astrid and Hiccup talking about What Just Happened. Why are the dragons going to this big dragon that apparently eats them, why did Toothless bring them. Toothless gives the impression he DIDN'T mean to bring them there. And they remember the weird noise and they wonder if the noise compelled them to come. Toothless gives the impression this may be the case.
So Astrid puts it together, the Nest is like a beehive. The large dragon is a queen, who controls the other dragons who are the workers, and they gather food for her.
They land in the grove and Astrid is ready to go tell Stoick about the nest, but Hiccup stops her because if they tell, they'll kill Toothless. They have to think it through carefully.
Astrid is shocked because vikings have been looking for the nest since vikings first sailed here, and Hiccup wants to keep it a secret to protect his 'pet' dragon.
Hiccup just answers with a simple 'yes.' Which is enough to get through to Astrid.
She asks what they're going to do. Hiccup asks to give him until tomorrow, so he can figure something out. Astrid accepts this.
Astrid then punches him for kidnapping her. Hiccup and Toothless shares a look. Toothless is of the opinion 'everyone gets one' when it comes to punching Hiccup when he deserves it.
Then Astrid grabs him and kisses his cheek for everything else before running off.
Hiccup has some gooey feelings for a few moments until Toothless comes up to give him a look and Hiccup just goes 'what are you looking at' in his flustered state.
